Do you want to have a Halloween weekend to remember? There are plenty of eclectic Halloween events that you will not want to miss! Whether you want to dance in a club, attend a party, or go out for an intimate dinner, Vancouver is an ideal place to be this Halloween.

1. Vancouver Club Crawl

If you are up for an outrageous and unique clubbing experience, the Club Crawl is perfect for you. Last year 10,000 students across Canada participated in this event that occurs throughout Canada. Your ticket includes drink specials, contests and prizes, no cover charges or lines, and party bus transportation to multiple different clubs throughout Vancouver. Enjoying the ride is part of the fun!

Starting Locations

Friday: Roxy Night Club and Blarney Stone will be featured in the Club Crawl.

Saturday: The Cellar, Roxy, Mahony & Sons, Ceilis, Blarney Stone, Au Bar, Forum, and Vinyl will be included in the Club Crawl.

After choosing a starting location, students will board a party bus that will take them to celebrate Halloween at some of Vancouver’s hottest night clubs. These locations are mysterious, and will remain a surprise until the bus arrives.

2.Halloween at the Waldorf ~ Fri Oct. 28- Monday Oct. 31

This Halloween will mark the one year anniversary of the Waldorf’s opening. They have planned a wonderful party and have special activities and themes to offer each day.

Friday: The Waldorf invites you to decades night where you can relive a different decade in each room. Early bird tickets are $20, so get your ticket before its too late!

Saturday:  Surf and rock classics will be performed in the Tiki Bar room and more different genres of music will be playing in the other rooms. Earlybird tickets are $20.

Sunday: “Maria in the Shower” will perform a special Halloween set of music. Tickets are only $10 this night.

Monday: The final night at the Waldorf is an ice cream social with rock and pop music playing from the 50′s and 60′s. Tickets are only $10.

Each day includes:

  • A sixteen story free fall on a ride in the parking lot
  • Prizes from  fun carnival games designed by the city’s local artists
  • Illusions that will make the hotel appear to be haunted
  • “Holographic beauties for your entertainment” (must be 19 to enter)

3. Taste of Yaletown Oct 19th- Oct 30th

Are you looking for a more relaxed Halloween weekend? The Taste of Yaletown event includes participation from 23 different restaurants in Yaletwon located in one of Vancouver’s most energetic neighborhoods. The event features three course meals from some of the best restaurants in Vancouver at affordable prices ranging from $25-$45. A list of participating restaurants can be found at this link.  http://yaletowninfo.com/events/taste-of-yaletown/menus/

 4. Feed Me – Monday Oct. 31st

Do you want to attend an intense show this Halloween? Halloween night, Feed Me is playing at Celebrities, one of Vancouver’s most popular night clubs located downtown. Feed Me performs electro-house music, however it is said that the music is even unique to its own genre. Feed me is one of John Gooch’s alter egos, he also calls himself, “Spor”. Spor was the original stage name, however he came up with Feed Me as a name for some of his more experimental music. Feed me and many other popular DJs such as Skrillex and DEADMAU5 have worked with NOISIA, a successful group of DJs from the Netherlands who formed their own record label, “Vision Recordings”. This is the perfect way to end your Halloween weekend if you like electro house music, and tickets are $25. Enjoy!

 5. Fiji Halloween @ UBC Oct. 28 @ 8:00 pm

Are you looking for an all ages event where you can still dance and have a good time? If you are a student, the Fiji Halloween Party will be a fun and energetic atmosphere however, I recommend that you arrive early because occasionally the police get involved in shutting these parties down fairly early.

It is a very reasonable event to attend if you are trying to save money, the first 300 tickets are $15 and the remaining tickets are $20. You will also be given ‘free stuff’ as promised by the Fiji Fraternity and you can experience music from good sound stystems.

To get in you will need a valid post-secondary ID and a 19+ government ID if you wish to buy alcoholic beverages. Make sure you bring your ticket because they will not be taking cash at the door!
